Since attending college Jonathan knew he wanted to base his future around property and construction, mainly due to watching grand designs and homes under the hammer!
Jonathan chose to study Architecture at degree level, and graduated in the summer of 2008. After travelling Asia for a few months Jonathan began the gruelling process of looking for a job. It was at this point that he found how bad the crash had hit the construction industry and because of the lack of opportunity in construction he decided to take a side step and work as an estate agent for a few months. This developed his understanding of the process of buying and more importantly the negotiating side of the industry it was during this job that he met Jesse.
Progressing his career he made the decision to take a job as a building & energy surveyor for a local building firm. In this role Jonathan developed his construction knowledge, he would price extensions, discuss building repairs and survey new builds. Whilst in this role he trained and qualified as a Domestic energy assessor and green deal advisor which allows him to produce EPCs and Green deal reports.
All this, finally leading to his role today as “buyer” for Fossey Taylor, this role includes sourcing, surveying, negotiating and buying properties with development potential within Nottingham.
