Rob has recently joined Fossey Taylor as the Refurbishment and Maintenance Manager, looking after the refurbishment of the newly purchased properties and ad-hoc maintenance issues. Rob spent the first part of his career in a corporate environment, working in the banking and accounting sector. During this time, he became a fully qualified accountant and tax adviser, working for one of the top 10 accounting firms. Becoming interested in property having seen numerous TV programmes, Rob purchased his first investment property in 2004, which he developed and sold on. This wetted Rob’s appetite further, eventually leading to a complete career change and a new job working for a firm of Building Contractors. During this period, Rob trained as the Small Works Manager and progressed onto becoming a Building Surveyor and Contracts Manager, managing projects up to £2m. Over time, Rob has built up a modest portfolio of investment properties in Nottingham, and has become a fully signed up member for the Portfolio Builder. Rob has lived in Nottingham for the last 15 years and knows the local property market very well.
